Meet the dogs...

Our dogs come from established Australian Shepherd working lines, including Hart II, Slash V, Twin Oaks, and Andrews. Kathy's first Aussie was by one of Norm Andrews' dogs (from Slash V and Hangin' Tree bloodlines) and sparked her love for the breed.  Our current dogs and breeding program reflect the qualities of that first dog -- brains, heart, dignity, athleticism, and innate stock sense.  We choose breeding pairs that possess these traits and strive to produce pups that are useful partners for their owners.  To date, our pups are on farms and ranches in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Colorado, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Adam Ranch Rico Suave
2011 Red tri male
Call name: Rico
Sire: Adam Cistco     Dam: Ranch Hand Riata
OFA Hips Excellent, Elbows Normal, eyes cleared annually

Rico is my best buddy and companion.  He has a bubbly personality and likes almost everybody.  He works with purpose and a nice sense of balance.  He is developing into a thoughtful, reliable working dog.  Most recently, he's helping me get some of our sheep dog-broke.

Mirror S Glad All Over
2012 Black tri female
Call name: Gladys

Sire: Adam Cistco     Dam: Ranch Hand Riata
OFA Hips Good, Elbows Normal, eyes cleared annually

Gladys is a sweet, attentive, serious-as-a-heart-attack girl who works deliberately.  She thinks before she acts and tries so very hard to do it right every time.  She rates her stock well and has a nice sense of balance.  She's also gritty and will hit both ends when needed.

Double A Blue Clear Sky HTAD Is
2013 Blue merle female
Call name: George
Sire: Sweetgrass Deal or No Deal     Dam: Double A Samantha

George shows a lot of talent on sheep, but she really excels on cattle.  She has strong Twin Oaks bloodlines, along with some of Norm Andrews' bloodlines.  She works wide with a natural rate and strong grouping instinct.  She's biddable and tries very hard to do it right every time.

Mirror S Curly Sue
2015 Red tri female
Call name: Sue
Sire: Hardin's RCC Blacksmith     Dam: Mirror S Glad All Over

Sue is a sweet, loyal, intense worker.  She is biddable with a lot of power and presence.  All she has to do is step out the back door and the sheep start moving (sometimes from a few hundred yards away).  She is quiet and deliberate and controlled in her approach, with a nice sense of balance.  She won't hesitate to grip if needed, but is fair with her stock.

Mirror S Centerfield
2017 Blue merle male
Call name: Crash
Sire: Ranch Hand Cool Dude     Dam: Maddie Bear Moonbeam

Crash is such a good boy.  He's big and has been slow to mature so we haven't rushed him.  He rates well and has a good sense of balance.  Due in part to his size, he has a lot of presence and thus no trouble moving stock.  His bloodlines are top-notch, with strong Hangin' Tree, Hart II, and Las Rocosa influences.  We look forward to great things from this young dog!
